Aunt G just happened to come home one day during the week to get some tires for her car and when I got word she would be here we invited her to the zoo. She really shouldn't have gone because she was going to study when she waited for her tires to get done but we distracted her and made a fun day of it. Tyler loves the zoo and since we have our Friends Of The Zoo pass we go whenever we want. He really loves it now. so on our way to the zoo we listened to Rafi's "We're
Goin' to the zoo' song. Tyler was very excited and when we pulled into the zoo parking lot he squealed and kicked his feet even more. He loves the statues by the animals and sometimes enjoys the big pictures and statues more than he does the animals themselves. And I
notice now in this picture that I cut the gorillas head off. Oops!

He also likes the petting zoo, although I really wouldn't call it a petting zoo because you can't walk through and pet the animals and there really are about 2-3 animals that are
in the space. They have a couple goats and a sheep. And all they do is want you to feed them. Tyler still enjoys it though. I sometimes let him feed the animals just because I
don't want him to be a deprived child but it really is a rip off when you think about it. You put in your quarter to the little machine and I swear, no exaggeration, you get about 10-12 little
pellets to feed the animals. Seriously, do they need to make that much money off of the food to feed these things?

After the 'petting zoo' was the bridge to the ducks and Tyler loves these. I really am scared of the geese
because they attacked me when I was a little
tike. So I still hold a grudge toward every goose I see. But Tyler could care less and he follows them everywhere they go. It is precious to see how excited he gets and then to watch his eyes light up and hear him laugh as he chases the poor thing.
