Well some of these pictures aren't the greatest but I guess you can tell what it was. Last weekend we took our annual trip to
the Manhattan Christian
College Alumni Basketball game. This year was a little different for several reasons. Reason 1: Jeff is a little older and a little more out of shape than most years Reason 2: We have 2 kids to ride in the car all the way to Manhattan Reason 3: Jeff gained 30 pounds Reason 4: Tyler ran around all over and we sometimes couldn't keep track of him and Reason 5:We are just old --when you get lost in Manhattan trying to find a Wendy's we used to eat at in college and it is no longer there, we thought we were losing it. When we went to that part of town nothing was there anymore and the Wendy's had obviously moved. But don't worry we found it and we had a very healthy fast food meal before the game.

This one is blurry too. I don't know if it was because I took the flash off or moving or what but anyway you can tell what is going on. They had a half time dunk contest for the little people at half time. I had Tricia being the 'mom' because I had Haleigh. So Tyler ran down there and before they could announce his name he had already grabbed the ball, dunked it and was on his way to his daddy on
the bench. Well he raced
accross the basketball court to daddy...only it wasn't daddy. It was another tall, bald man wearing
the same outfit that daddy was. Tyler was very confused and noticed it wasn't Jeff and then found him. All bald men must look alike!

Haleigh had her fun too. Her and Silas had their first fun at
the alumni basketball game. They are 3 days apart and I'm sure will be great play mates when they get bigger. But always to remember that they are cousins NOT friends (right Matt?)

Throughout the game with Tyler's many 'chasers' he had them to the balloons and running down the hallway. He played on
the stairs and even threw the ball on the court a couple times. But after the game he was given two balloons to which he let go and they went to the ceiling. Lindsay was talking to him about not letting go of this balloon. She saved it several times when he let go but finally her vertical just couldn't reach it. He was so devastated that he had lost his balloon and
no one could get it. His face was so sad and he asked everyone around to get it. But he knew when his big friend Andy couldn't reach it there was no hope. What was funny was that everyone he asked acted like they could reach it and reached for
the sky. Nope we couldn't save the balloon and it was truly a tragedy.

Everywhere we went Tyler was attached to
Andy. I'm sure that some of
the older alumni and the people at
the college thought that Andy was his father. In
the pictures Tyler is always with Andy so I'm sure there will be some
confusion when the pictures are discussed at
MCC.

Tyler wasn't real interested in sitting with Jeff or I, he was very interested in "Uncle" Andy. He loves him so much for some reason. So he ate with Andy and I think he drank about 3 cups of
Andy's raspberry tea. He was even eating spicy hot wings. I'm thinking he may have had Andy wrapped around his fingers.

Another guy on the basketball team has a daughter that is the same age as Tyler. In this picture they are
fighting over cups that Katie had already dirtied on the floor. Tyler had a couple and she was NOT happy She ran to her mom squealing because she thought
Tyler was going to steal her cups.

But by the end of the night which was
probably close to midnight, they
wee best buds and laying on the floor reading together. It was precious too because before we left they gave each other a hug. Too precious Too precious.
So it was an eventful, late,
exhausting night that we look forward to doing again next year.
