2nd Birthday Bash

Tyler's 2nd birthday pater wasn't quite as big as his 1st, but we did have a ton of people IN our house. It was kind of a rude awakening for the little guy. He fought taking a nap that day and didn't go down in time to be awake when everyone arrived so we had to wake him up and he wasn't real sure what to think of his house being full of people when he woke up.
It took him a long time to warm up and even to stop clinging to his daddy. But he got into it and had a good time.
He had the cutest Elmo cupcake cake that I searched everywhere for. It was so precious but it didn't really taste that good. I guess how good can a cupcake really be though you know. But it was cute. That is what mattered.

Tyler wasn't real sure what to think of it. He thought it was cool but he wasn't sure about getting his picture taken with it or eating it. Last year he stuck his whole face in the little cake and this year he thought the cake was gross and didn't want anything to do with it.
He had tons of presents from family and friends and really enjoyed taking the tissue paper out of them. He received lots of nice toys and clothes but his favorite gift was his banana and goldfish from Great Grandma G. He had opened numerous presents and when he got to hers he pulled out the goldfish, his eyes lit up, and he walked straight over to her for her to open them. The party stopped momentarily for a short snack. He knew exactly who they were from. Then when we got him back to the gift the next thing was a banana. So again he walked to Grandma G and asked her to open it. No longer did he care about ripping the paper or tearing out hte tissue paper, he was ready to eat with Grandma G. It was so funny because he didn't know who they were from by a card or us telling him, he knew because Grant Grandma G always has goldfish and always has a banana for him. Uncle Mike and Tyler were checking out his giraffe piggy bank Aunt Cel made him.
His other favorite from the night was his Itsy Bitsy Spider singing card. He loves this thing to death and we with for the death of the card!! Aunt Cel got him this card and he loves to sing and dance with it and do the actions Uncle Mike loves it too!! He says he has heard this song more in one half hour than he did his entire life. He may avoid coming over because of that card I'm not sure!!

But Tyler loves it and we play this card all the time. I'm really surprised the card battery hasn't run out yet.

And then a little picture of Haleigh for you Amanda. I had to video her at her big brother's birthday bash. She misses you and can't wit for you to come home. Tyler does too and I think he is going to need some dancing lessons and maybe even some more lessons on perfecting his somersault!!
