Weekend of Basketball

It's been a couple of weekends ago now that we spent our weekend at the gym for the Sunflower state games. And believe it or not Jeff wasn't even playing!! Every summer I have known Jeff we spend a weekend at the gym in July for Sunflower State Games. But this year was different. He wasn't able to play because of his back. Jeff hurt his back almost a year ago at Target and hasn't been able to do any kind of exercise or really much strenuous work since. So, this year he had to sit out the state games for the first time since I think 4th grade.
It really killed him not to be able to be on the floor with his team, so he kept score and did the books. The guys said he was the coach/scorekeeper so he couldn't miss a game.
Tyler loved watching the games-well until the last one. He sat on the bench with the big boys and ran out on the court at half time to 'shoot' with them too.

It really was precious seeing Tyler with all the great big basketball guys and hopefully next year Jeff will be able to run up and down the court a couple times so his son can cheer for his superstar Daddy!
