A little late...

If these pictures of Tyler don't bring a smile to your face I really don't know what could! He is such a little ham. Whenever you ask him to "cheese" for the camera this face is usually what you get.
He stayed all weekend with Grandma about a month ago when Jeff and I went to 4th-5th grade camp. So she got some pictures of him on her phone. Evidently this is what his hair looked like after getting up from his nap. Yes he desperately needs a haircut. He also had fun in his pool. Tyler loves the water and this weekend he learned how to blow bubbles and lay down and 'swim' in the water and kick his feet. Now it is fun to do in the bath tub. Once again a little ham! Grandma took him to the Grand Opening at Toys R Us and they saw some characters (I can't remember who) but he had fun and got a new little book bag with Geoffrey the Giraffe on it. He had a fun weekend with Grandma and kept her very busy I"m sure. And while Tyler and Grandma were having fun back home Jeff and I spent the weekend with almost 20 4th-5th graders. How I survived I'm not sure. This was like in the middle of the mountains (flint hills) and I mean it was a serious hike to go anywhere. I really don't know how I survived. But I couldn't miss it because I had so many of my precious girls going and I have to miss out on a good girls night. As you can tell we were already having fun in the van ride down there. Jeff had them pulling him in this little..whatever it is..and he thought he was king of the world or something. Then two of the older kids who came as 'sponsors' were in it with him or something and they broke a wheel. Jeff is just as bad or worse than kids. We had a campfire with s'mores on the second night and I really couldn't wait. I had saved my carbs for a toasted marshmallow. Jeremy cooked my marshmallows for me and they were perfect. Jeff kinda freaked out and told people I couldn't have one because it would kill me but I couldn't pass up a s'more, I mean how often do you get to have one roasted at a campfire. So I snuck one in and had Jeremy, who is my midwife's son, cook, one for me. He told me he was the master and promised he wouldn't tell his mom so I had half a s'more. Oh it was so good I had to sneak another marshmallow and he burnt it for me. Oh it was heavenly!!
Then the campfire got cut short because it was lightening in the distance and starting to thunder. The kids freaked out a little and ran inside. So we cleaned up the area and made our way inside.

Inside we played games and I got the REAL treatment. Jeff talked about service that night and the kids were practicing their service by massaging feet and backs. I'm telling you it doesn't get better than this. And several of them I would hire for my personal massage therapist. So I got the treatment and it was much appreciated.

Our last day of camp we had to take a group photo. We really had quite a few kids this year we more than doubled from last year. These kids are precious to us and I love to watch them grow in their knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is. Some of them really blow your mind with how much they know already and can apply things they have learned at camp and church to their daily living. I wish I would have had that when I was younger.
