Mother's Day

Mother's Day was actually an eventful day this year. AND I got something I've been wanting for 3 years!!!

The day began with church, of course, as all Sundays do. They gave out carnations as usual. This year Tyler broke mine immediately after I got it. Then someone else gave me another one and he broke it off too. He was very interested in what they smelled like so they made for very cute pictures.
After church we grabbed a quick sandwich before hitting the road for KC. Paul had called and wanted to see Tyler so he stopped by Goodcents while we were having lunch. It was good to see Paul. Tyler was definitely excited. We just wish he was around a little more. Too busy with college and working out of town. Poor Tyler won't see his Aunt Suzy or Paul for a long while. We'll have to visit him in Wichita this summer I guess!

So after we finished our quick lunch and visit with Paul we headed for KC and the Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Tyler thought it was pretty cool because he got to ride in the little car all around the store. I had a good time because we picked out the new floor for our kitchen and took a break in the IJOY chairs that I someday will own. Usually the massage chair is the highlight of my trip to this store. Really I would go just to sit in one of those things. Oh, I have to get one.
We also saw King Fu Panda dancing in the middle of the store. I had my massage while Jeff and Tyler waited in line to get their picture taken with him. Tyler was a little freaked out and the picture really was bad so it won't be published!

Oh then for the car ride home. Yes Tyler was tired. And when the child gets tired he gets REAL UGLY! Now you have the pleasure of seeing what he looks like trying to get him in his car seat. I know you would have rather me video tape it but it really would have hurt your ears.

This child is a fighter. When he doesn't want to be buckled in...he doesn't want to be buckled in. So we have had to start using bribery at times to get him in his seat.

But despite the fit and how tired we all were, it was a great Mother's Day!
