Anniversary and such

Jeff and I just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We spent the weekend in KC. Every year we make it a point to have a little retreat together on our anniversary weekend. We reminisce about when we got together, the wedding and everything that has gone on in the past. It really is fun and refreshing to be reminded of how the love started. This year we stayed at the Downtown Crown Center Hotel. We went to the College Basketball Hall of Fame Museum. It really was awesome and incredibly interactive. I beat Jeff and the free throw game because they counted two of my air balls. I'm sure the few people who were there that day thought it was pretty funny to see a HUGE PREGNANT woman trying to shoot baskets and do the drills. I know I"m crazy.
Later that night we went to the Plaza and ate Jamaican Pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen then were seated to eat our cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. We had several other experiences that night that were unforgettable like being stuck in traffic for an hour on our way to wal-mart because I forgot my brush and then getting back to the hotel in 4 minutes. We ordered breakfast to our room, which has never been done before then we spent the afternoon shopping at Legends and getting the rest of our new flooring at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Yet another unforgettable anniversary experience.

This is just a random picture of Tyler wearing the hat Aunt Suzy sent with his Hawaiian outfit for Uncle Mike. He definitely enjoys his naked time!
And this is just a random time that Jeff had the camera. Evidently we were taking up too much room in the bed. During the night Tyler had woke up and would not go back to sleep, I was exhausted so I just brought him into our room. When Jeff got home from work around 6am there was no room for him in the bed. He had to sleep on the couch. Oops!! And the sad story of our possessed dog. I wrote before about how we were suckers...well, we are suckers no more. Addy's bi-polarness came back in full force over the past couple weeks. Standing on the kitchen table was not one of the straws that broke the camels back either! We shouldn't have left the chairs out. But in several instances over the past few weeks Addy has proved over and over that she probably isn't the dog to have around two little ones. She really doesn't like discipline. In fact she gets crazier the more stern you are with her. She barked at mom and pulled her behavior disorder antics with her, then she had tried to bite me because I told her to lay down one evening when she wouldn't go to sleep, she knocked Tyler to the floor a few days later. And then one day when it stormed really bad we let her in and when the storm was over we told her to go back outside and she was not having it. She crouched down and acted like she was going to attack Jeff. She snapped several times and that was the end.

It really is a sad story. I loved her and felt sick about getting rid of her but I know I would never forgive myself if something happened to Tyler. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to protect your kids.

Thanks mom for giving me such good advice when I was too stressed out! You made me feel better.
