Mom's MK Diva Trip

I went to Dallas from July 28-August 2nd. It was my first Mary Kay Seminar and I had an incredible time. I was really brave, I want you all to know, I've never traveled by myself, I never go to big events when I don't know anyone, and I freak out when I have to stay away for more than a nite or so. But don't worry I'm a big girl now!! I left KC on a plane by myself, I found the people I met once in the airport with no problem and took a shuttle to the hotel, I checked into a room where I didn't know anyone and stayed with the m for a week. I caught shuttles to and from the convention center alone, with absolutely no one I knew. And I found everything in the airport by myself when I was dropped off a day late to come home. Oh yeah I'm a superstar and I proved that blind chicks really can do things on their own!!

Okay, so the pictures you see are just a couple from my trip because my camera broke while I was down there, as you read before. But Carolina is my new good friend. We were roommates(+ 2 others) for the week and we had a great time. The two of us will be debuting as directors together next year and will be walking our beautiful diva selves across the seminar stage. The woman in the blue colored shawl thing is Linda McConoco. She is an Executive Senior Sales Director. Guess how old she is?.....70 that's right. And dang does she look good. She is one of the most amazing women I have met in MK. Her story is incredible and I love her so much. This woman can make you laugh and cry all at the same time. She is phenomenal!

Other pictures are from our carriage ride from the West End back to our Adam's Mark Hotel. Much fun and definitely a memory was made that nite. Then you see from our Denim & Diamonds Banquet with our too cute National Sales Director Rena Tarbet. She is definitely one of the strongest most inspiring women ever. This woman is incredible and will be retiring this year.
We went to General Sessions during the day and each nite there was a different banquet. This particular Denim & Diamonds was my favorite. One because I liked my outfit and two because it is Rena and it is always an honor to be whe
re she is and to listen to her speak.
This was an amazing Seminar and I was challenged both spiritually and challenged to be better in my business because Iknow
God has called me to be a woman who is dedicated to enriching women's lives.

Heather! You look just like your mom @ when she was your age -- so beautiful. Your blog took me back a hundred years as it was @ an MK meeting that we met: Topeka-1978. You and Molly were not even born. We have had so much in common, you and Molls, our love for the Lord, our husbands. It has kept us friends. (hope I didn't send this twice, I've never blogged before :)absolutely loved the pics of your darling baby. Love, Patrice
