Daddy Jeff---The Real Cowboy

I bet none of you knew that I married a cowboy. Oh I did....a real cowboy! I learned that last week at Vacation Bible School when Jeff played the part of Rowdy the cowboy at Avalanche Ranch.

You can see that he really is a cowboy because he brought his 10-gallon bucket for his hat that he would carry his beans in. Who knows what that means I wish I would have gotten a picture of him with the thing on his head. So he is a real cowboy because he has his 10-gallon hat, his I rode the bull shirt and his belt buckle and yes..the size 13 cowboy boots from Roy Frye's Western Wear. He's a pretty cute cowboy huh? And the outfit really says "cowboy"
Well the second day he was all tied up because he was "lasuing his doggies" what he didn't understand was that the doggies were really calves and not his pet Fido! The kids thought it was hilariouss as he came running down the church isle all tied up. They always looked forward to the crazy story he was going to tell for the day. Who knew Jeff was an "actor" too!

Tyler always wanted to be in front with Daddy too. He wasn't really all about staying in the nursery at first so he would come up during songs and then stay for a minute while Jeff was doing his thing. He always was reaching for his dad though and wanted to be with him. I think he was really wondering what was going on and why his daddy was acting silly and wearing a funny hat.
The last day Rowdy was trying to prove to everyone he was a real cowboy and in charge of the bull he was riding. But once again Rowdy got hurt...as you can tell it must have been a rough ride. Rowdy came hobbling down the aisle on crutches and all kinds of bandages and today he learned that God is in Charge.

As he told the story of riding the bull and being bucked off he was spinning round and ended up falling because the crutch got stuck under the pew, his ankle brace wouldn't let him move and
he lost balance and really did fall.

Now Tyler really didn't like that. When Jeff fell Tyler was horrified. He really thought hi
s daddy was hurt and he made a terrible face and let out a loud scream and reached for Jeff laying on the floor. I had to take him out of the sanctuary because he was so upset.

These last two pictures are just a little glimpse of the games and things that daddy and Tyler do together. Tyler loves to crawl all over Jeff every day when he gets home from work. If he isn't still napping he is eager to great his daddy at the door and wait for him to lay down for a quick rest and crawl all over him and climb on him like a jungle gym.
And then of course there is Addy. Tyler loves to watch and an
tagonize Addy. He doesn't realize that she is way too big and a little
rough at this point in time. But we let her come in and Tyler can pet her while he sits in one our laps. Tyler and Addy love to play. We are looking for a saddle for her so that Tyler can ride her through the yard.
