Just a little Martens' kind of fun

Oh how we love Wal-Mart! I swear we must go here a couple times a week. When we drive by on the way to school Tyler always shouts "Hi Wal-Mart...Hi Dillon's" when we pass. There must be some serious connection with these stores because we talk to them as we pass.
It is usually a very exciting time when we go to Wal-Mart. This week I purchased some Lightening McQueen jammies for Tyler and he thinks they are the coolest thing. He really wanted Mater but settled for McQueen since they were what they had. I swear this kid loves them more than anything else. He wanted to wear them to church and I had to talk him out of it. We folded them nicely on the bed, told them we'd put them back on when we got home. And what did he do immediately after entering the house after church? Yep, he went straight for the jammies and wanted to put them on. I had to explain that we couldn't wear them when we played outside at the school because they would get dirty. So we folded them nicely again and put them on his bed.
Then this morning for school...are you serious? We had pretty much the same conversation only it went a slightly different route. He was so sad to leave them at home while he went to school. I argued with him for a minute about leaving them at home but then thought "am i seriously arguing with a 3-year-old over jammies?" So I had a great idea. How about we leave them folded and they can wait for you in your book bag. Oh what a great idea. He thought that was the coolest thing. He was so excited to show Ms. Anne and Ms. Julie. He even threw in his favorite book, Hello, Big Jay!
I guess this must be one of those battles that would be worth letting go. Is it really wrong for a little guy to carry his jammies in his book bag?
This little Haleigh Bug has been a sick one lately. She has bronchialitis and has been the Queen of crankiness! But she is still the cutest thing I ever saw. I know everyone is entitled to be cranky when they aren't feeling good but I really hope she feels better soon because the crankiness may be starting to be contagious here in the Martens' house!
Does she know how to do it or what? This is where we found her. With the phone laying on the bed. Are you serious? Is she trying to figure out how to text or what?
One of those mornings watching Handy Manny. We watch him religiously. If Handy Manny is not on when the kids wake up I'm pretty sure they couldn't go on the rest of the day. They think any time they wake up he should be on. What they don't understand is when they wake up before 8 or after 8:30 our friend Handy Manny is not on. They can't comprehend that I know but I wish they could some mornings because3 it can get real ugly if they wake up at a different time! Just imagine both of them whining "Hanny Manny...Hanny Manny"
Priceless!
One of the kids' favorite friends. Delaney comes over sometimes to stay for a while and the kids just love every minute of it. I came back into the living room after finishing the dishes and this is what I found. She said that the kids just climbed up with her and were watching a movie.
They have several older girls who come over that they just soak it up when they are here. Precious precious I love it!
