Quick Update

A quick update on the health drama at the Martens' house: We are all doing much better. Mom and Dad have gained some sanity back and we have stopped going through 10+ diapers a day and no more unresponsive episodes.
We had our EKG last week and Tyler did a fine job. He is a trooper. He was a little nervous when she was hooking him up but he did fine. We left his stickies on all day because he wouldn't let anyone touch them. Then we had to go to the dr. again for his rash that got way worse and looked like a burn with blisters. But of course it went away by the time we got there.
So anyway, we spoke with the doctor and he explained the rash and the poopies with a virus. That's fine I understand that but I"m not as worried about that as I am the unresponsive episode. That was too scary. I wasn't real comfortable with the whole 'let's wait and see' speech and kept asking questions. Gian,my almost nurse sister gave me some questions to ask about tests they ran at the hospital and it kinda threw the doctor off guard. I wish you could see the look he gave me. He said "and why are you asking these questions?" I told him I had a nurse friend who was worried about it and wanted to make sure proper tests were run. So when I was talking dr. talk and metabolic panel, neuro workup talk and all kinds of other things that I don't even know what they meant, he knew something was up. I can play it smart and BS with the best of them!
I told him I just wanted the passing out thing explained a little and too many weird things keep happening. He had already said he thought a neurologist would be 'overkill' but he changed his tune a little with all my questions. So he thinks it would be a good idea for us to see a neurologist. So we'll be going there in April. Man these doctors get you in quick huh?
We'll feel more comfortable and I think he will too having an answer. Maybe it can help explain the inability for him to use his right hand too.

So that's that. We are fine at the Martens' house now the kids just have super runny noses but at least we aren't going through so many diapers everyday and things are slowly getting back to 'normal.'

Thanks for the prayers.
