Nice Weather

There have been a few nice days interspersed with the chilly ones and we definitely take advantage of the ones where we can be outside. On this particular day we decided to take a walk out at the lake for a change of scenery. I've got my Cadillac stroller so I take it so that I don't have to carry anyone and can walk at a little bit faster pace. Tyler and Haleigh both enjoyed themselves. We walked over the dam at Lake Shawnee. It was nice but then we walked over the dam and it was incredibly cold. The water was still frozen (obviously) and the wind was very cold when we walked over it because it was blowing straight off the water and we were up so high. Oh I thought I had made a mistake for taking a walk with Haleigh. I didn't think we were dressed warm enough. But after we crossed the dam it was probably a 15 or more degree difference. Then it was nice. Tyler was tired of riding and he needed a little change so he gave Jeff a leg workout and rode on his shoulders. It is his favorite place to be when we are walking any length of time. It definitely wore them out. Haleigh was zonked within 5 minutes of leaving there.

And so was Tyler. It didn't take him long either. I love those days when we work him so hard and he falls asleep without a fight!!

I can hardly wait for spring to be outside. It is so refreshing to be able to be outside instead of cooped indoors with so much energy.
